Sam Kim for State Rep, Dist. 17, #1, Independent Democrat

Sam Kim

Sam Kim

Sam came to America with his family at a young age where he eagerly embraced American Exceptionalism and its core values of egalitarianism, liberty, and individualism. Sam’s life record bears out his belief in equality, freedom, self-reliance, limited government, and free-market. Earning an income since he was 10 years old, Sam learned strong work ethics through picking berries at a farm with his siblings, mowing lawns for neighbors, delivering the daily newspaper, and flipping all-beef patties at Burgerville. In high school, he was the Junior Class President and Washington State President of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), graduating as the salutatorian. He put himself through college by working at Centralia Daily Chronicle newspaper, drawing blood at University Hospital, internships at Boise-Cascade and Weyerhaeuser, and joining U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Power Officer Candidate program. Currently, Sam is leading the transformation of Clark County’s IT department.
